Step 3 Required Time: 3 minutes
Take a Pledge

Show Me How:
Pledge 1 of 3 Options:
(Click one of the three options below)
- CUT Back 50%
- CUT OUT BIRDS
- CUT OUT FACTORY FARMS
Cut Out 50% of Your Meat Consumption
- By cutting out only half your meat consumption, you will prevent over 500 animals (just like our dogs and cats) from going through factory farms over your life.
Do Not Eat Any Birds (Chickens and Turkeys)
- Did you know: Jesus relates himself to a chicken. Yep. Matthew 23:37. That is quite fitting considering chickens as a whole suffer more than anyone else on the face of the planet.
- Since birds are so small compared to other animals like cows, many times more chickens and turkeys have to go through factory farms to produce an equivalent amount of meat. Chicken is actually the worst thing a person can eat from an animal welfare perspective because of how bad they are treated and how small they are.
The below chart shows how many animals are killed to produce one million calories. From an animal welfare perspective, chicken is the worst item to consume followed by eggs. Simply giving up chicken (and hopefully limiting eggs to pasture raised eggs if necessary), will have a HUGE impact on the world.

Cut Out Factory Farmed Meat
- Did you know: 99% of the animals we eat go through factory farms according to FarmForward.com using USDA statistics. Places like Chipotle and Whole Foods sell non-factory farmed meat. It takes some looking and research, but you can find non-factory farmed meat.
- Did you know: Eating factory farmed meat is a sin because animal cruelty is a sin (since factory farms involve animal cruelty). Yes, most Christians are sinning and not realizing it.
Step 4 Required Time: 5 minutes
Get Inspired

Show Me How:

- Congratulations! If you made it this far, you likely have what it takes to be a hero. You are not someone who turns their back on God's children.
